Story :

Dr. Uday Gupta is a medical student who has just passed his last M.B.B.S. He lives in Bhopal with his widowed mother, Shobha. Shobha is an aspiring chef and she hopes to find success on her social media cooking channel. He also lives with her best friend Chadi as he prepares for her civil service exam. Uday wants to continue his graduate studies in orthopedic surgery, inspired by his distant cousin, Dr. Ashok Gupta. But his rank in the entrance examination is not good enough for an orthopedic course in Bhopal. Uday, who did not want to leave his mother and move to another city, reluctantly chose the best option available in Bhopal. Ashok also advises Uday to seize this opportunity. At the same time, Uday can continue his studies for next year's entrance exams. Uday is introduced to Kavya Sharma, a high school student who wants to become a doctor and whom Ashok is in love with.

Uday's introduction to obstetrics and gynecology begins with bad grades - he was soon dismissed by the head of the department, a strict Dr. Nandini Srivastav, who was ten days late for his classes, all female. I am angry that I am being bullied by my classmates. Uday blames her ex-girlfriend Ruchi for her current state and, spurred on by Ashok, calls her in her drunkenness and vents her frustrations. Nandini is irritated by his lack of interest in his job and his mistakes, and Uday asks why he doesn't want to become an obstetrician-gynecologist. Uday counters that male gynecologists usually do poorly because patients prefer to see a female doctor. Nandini dismisses this and asks him to lose his "manly touch". After that, Uday gradually became friends with his colleagues, especially his senior Dr. Fatima Siddiqui. Eventually, he falls in love with her, and the two share a passionate kiss, but Fatima dismisses the act as not serious and tells a disappointed Uday that although he is a good friend, It reminds her to marry the man I love, Aarif. She also invites him to her engagement. One day when the hospital is understaffed, Uday attempts to see a patient without a female companion which is considered unethical. An altercation erupts and the patient and her husband later filed a formal complaint against him. While undergoing her disciplinary action, Uday performs her first delivery at her hospital. In gratitude for having lost two previous pregnancies, and his family has named the baby after him, Uday finally understands his duty as a doctor to his patients. At the inquest, testimony from Uday's colleagues clears his name. However, Nandini is still unimpressed.

Uday tries to confess his love for Fatima at a dinner party, but the arrival of Shobha complicates matters and Fatima goes berserk. Meanwhile, Ashok gets Kavya pregnant and has to have her abortion. Ashok is a famous doctor, married, and has two children. Since he cannot take Kavya to the hospital by himself, he asks Uday to take her. Research has shown that Kavya has placenta previa, making it difficult to have an abortion. When Uday asks him to perform the operation himself, Nandini refuses, stating that her family should be informed first as it could threaten Kavya's life. Ashok asked Uday to keep Kavya at home for the time being and the two hit it off. Kavya tells him that she doubted Ashok's character for the first time the day she encouraged Uday to call Rutchi and scold him. Uday is ashamed of his past actions.

On the day of the engagement, Ashok calls Uday and tells him to take Kavya to a clinic as he has "found a solution". Upon arriving home, Uday is shocked to see Shobha partying with an elderly stranger. An enraged Uday orders both the old man who helped Shobha to get on Tinder in the first place and Chadi to get out of the house. When Uday claims he made sacrifices for himself, Shobha turns back and recounts the difficulties he faced raising him as a single mother. Now that her son is grown up, she wants a companion, after which her mother and her son reconcile.

Soon Uday received a call from Kavya. She is in severe pain after receiving an injection at a private clinic. He and Shobha rescue her and take her to her hospital, where Nandini performs emergency surgery on her, saving her life. Ashok reaches the hospital and confronts Uday, but Uday fights back. As Kavya is underage and not yet of legal age, the matter is handed over to the police, who arrest her Ashok on statutory rape charges. Uday again faces investigation and possible investigation for having previously lied to Nandini about Kavya's age. However, Nandini realizes that Uday is a changed man and decides not to punish him. An overjoyed Uday rushes to Fatima's engagement and offers to remain her loyal friend.

Review :

Doctor G is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee pictures. Ayushman Khurana is casting the main role in this film as Dr. Uday Gupta. The film follows the struggles of a male doctor who is interested in orthopedics but instead becomes a gynecologist.

Again coming with a review of a dramatic Bollywood movie today I'll say that Doctor G is a medically promotional or you can say emotional film. I'll not talk more today and straight coming to the point I'll say that this is a time pass film. The beginning or end of the movie has no sense in it. The film is completely the type of movie we expect from Bollywood. It's like the film is forcefully completed by adding some pointless topics or emotional moments in it. I mean everyone expects some kind of action, suspense, comedy, adventure, or some serious message in a film but nothing is available in this movie.

In last I'll say that the movie is only made for Ayushman Khurana's fans as I see. Personally, I'll give this movie a rating of 5/ 10. The film is available on Netflix, and Amazon Prime or you can easily watch it from other movie websites.
